The Fortnite World Cup Finals, with its $30 million prize pool, took place from July 26 to 28, 2019 in New York City at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Who won the Fortnite World Cup 2019?

Sunday was the last day of the event and it was all about the solo tournament. Players from all across the globe who qualified in smaller tournaments competed, and it was 16-year-old Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf who won the $3 million first-place prize and the title of the best Fortnite player in the world.

Due to the global pandemic, the competition didn’t take place this year but we can only hope it returns in 2021. However, Fortnite has continued to put on some great online events including musical performances and film screenings.

Coronavirus: What Next?

By Russell 7Y

As Covid-19 continues its deadly spread, the situation gets worse with the UK death toll rising. Now more people are returning to work, the prime minister said a phased return to school would begin with pupils in reception, year 1 and year 6. Secondary schools for pupils in years 7-9 are likely to remain closed until September.

In Denmark primary schools have reopened with special importance placed on hand washing and keeping groups of children apart. It was the first country in Europe to reopen its primary schools as they had contained the virus early on. Denmark has had fewer than 600 deaths so far. This is in stark contrast to the UK’s 40 thousand deaths.

A father of two said ‘Children shouldn’t go to school as the death toll is still rising, which can add a risk to our children’. Throughout this time, schools have been open to vulnerable students, but this week some primary schools welcomed back more students. With class sizes of no more than 15 people so they can stick to social distancing of being 2 metres away from each other. How easy is it to actually maintain this though?

Covid-19 has changed everyone's lives and puts vulnerable and old people at risk. The NHS doctors and nurses still require adequate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as they don’t have enough supplies to tackle the virus. There are many companies and individuals who are trying to help our NHS by making the PPE our health care workers need in colourful decorations by using blankets or cloth to create face masks, aprons and other PPE. Some schools have even created protective eyewear.

People around the UK have been clapping for our carers on Thursdays at 8pm. They did not only clap for them, they clapped for hope so we can all get through this pandemic which has changed everyone's lives.

Brent is the worst affected area in London. What will happen next for ACS and its community?

Extraction (Hargrave, 2020)

By Vihar Kantilal

All Fight, No Love

Watch Extraction to make lockdown special.

Warning: May contain some spoilers.

A thrilling action film starring none other than Thor’s Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a former
SASR operator turned black-ops mercenary. The film starts with the protagonist, Rake, injured
and having a flashback of his dead young son. Rake has been dispatched to Dhaka, Bangladesh,
to retrieve Ovi (played by Rudhraksh Jaiwal) who has been kidnapped by an opposing gang his
criminal father had a dispute with.  After a careless setup, the criminals are all in an alliance with the
cops, and the antagonist Amir Asif (Priyanshu Painyuli) is busy planning a way to kill Ovi and win this
battle.

The film serves up a harsh blast of blood, bullets and blown-up cars. Rake is painted as a
stereotypical good bad guy, tortured by personal tragedy and restored by his mission. He even kills
and damages some teenage followers in the process. Randeep Hooda plays his foil, a kingpin deputy
whose ruthlessly experienced violence is turned by its own, dull direction of protective feeling. David
Harbour (from Stranger Things) also appears shortly, adding to the film’s lineup of tortured machos.
The fight scenes are flexible and reflecting. Sam Hargrave (who directed the film) mistakes blood for
cool and technical bravery for choreography, disposing of long one-take shots that look like "Call of
Duty" outtakes and video game fights.

Although producing a global thriller with some established Hollywood actors, much of the dialogue
is in Hindi and Bengali. Bollywood actors - Randeep Hooda and Priyanshu Painyuli as a swaggering
masses chief - boost the ordinary Hollywood expectations by delivering their lines with a hint of
melodrama. They’re a tease for how fun this movie could have been if it weren’t so dark.

This film is for the people who love an action thrilling movie. There is no romance in sight but emotion
is being thrown around like a ball in cricket. Ovi’s lines “You drown not by falling into a river, but by
staying submerged in it” really engaged me more than I imagined. I had goosebumps. So many
unexpected things happen with the characters. Without wanting to give too much away, the last scene
is a tearjerker. Be prepared!

Rating: 9/10. If there was some comedy, it’d be a 10!

Extraction is rated 15 and available to view on Netflix.

Careers: Aviation

Ahmad 7T

What is Aviation?

Aviation is based on flying planes and the career of becoming a pilot, also known as operating a plane. Aviation is also the main word that describes what flying is all about.

Have you ever wanted to fly a plane? Aviation has many career opportunities and is really important in society. Flying can be commercial or private. When working for a commercial company you are likely to be working for an airline that could be international. This lets you experience travel across the world. Your life could be based in two or more locations! Private is based on flying a private plane, which could be for a wealthy or famous person who can afford to purchase a plane for themselves.

Another benefit is getting a well paid job - some pilots can earn over £100,000 a year when flying long-haul flights (10 hours or more). Pilots also have a great retirement plan that covers costs and insurance, whilst some pilots even get paid while on vacation!

What do I need to become a pilot?

To become a pilot you will need to be over 21 years old, hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and you will need a background check just to ensure that you are well enough to be a pilot. You will also have to do a lot of training and pass through university and carry with you 5 GCSE’s (A-C), and 2-3 A Levels.

Save the Oceans

Olivia 7L

Our oceans are dying and we need to do something about it!

We are to blame.

We create pollution in the ocean not just by littering but we also contribute to the ice caps melting and that is destroying the homes of many creatures. Dumping rubbish in our oceans might not seem like a crime but it is affecting the human race more than you know.

What can we do about it ?

We need to stop pollution in the oceans as quickly as possible. The waste in the ocean is rapidly building and thousands of creatures are dying due to humans’ carelessness.

Dhriti 7Y said, “I feel like we should let the marine animals live a life as good as humans and stop polluting their home.”

Caroline 7T says “I feel like what we are doing is really unfair and the creatures deserve a good life.”

Miss Patel says “One of the best ways we can help to save the oceans is by educating young people about how we impact sea life.”

More than 14,00000 sea creatures die every year due to pollution. We need to use reusable plastics and metals to cut down plastic pollution. We also need to cut down burning fuels so that ice caps don't melt at such a fast rate .

Why is it so important?

This is an important subject because it affects humans and marine animals. Small marine animals consume chemicals and bigger animals eat them and are poisoned. This is also very bad news for humans who eat fish and seafood.

These are just some of the reasons why we need to save our oceans.

Book Review: Star Switch

Najiha 7T

The famous judge from the well-known show Britain’s Got Talent has published her latest book, ‘Star Switch’ which was published in March 2020. As being one of the readers of this tremendous book, I’d like to share with you my amazing experience and why I definitely recommend this book to anyone.

I will not try to spoil the book, but I will give you a sort of hint on what the book is about. It is about two girls, Ruby and Naomi, with completely different lives and fed up with living as they currently are. However, one day all of that changes when the girls meet and accidentally switch bodies! Nothing remained the same.

Ruby lives as a normal girl, unnoticed, as she hides her secret talent of singing and dancing from everybody except her best friend, Beth. Ruby’s quite a big fan of the world famous Naomi Starr.  Naomi lives a life which seems to be a luxury, but she’s tired of the paparazzi following her wherever she goes. Everything she does is always noticed, and she just can’t handle the pressure at such a young age.

Will Ruby enjoy living as a pop star, with a life full of luxury? Will she be able to handle the fact that she has no privacy? Or will Naomi finally be able to see what she has been missing out on her whole life? Well that’s for you to find out!

The story sends a very powerful message. As quoted in the book ‘Sometimes, to learn about yourself, you need a different view. Step into someone else’s shoes, tread in their footsteps, see things through their eyes. See how you shine’. Personally, I found that it was like saying that we may see ourselves as people who don’t have much, but we may be living somebody else’s dream.

I enjoyed reading every single page - with no regrets. I’ve never been so interested in a book before and I felt lucky to be one of the people who had read the entire thing. The experience is just magical and I’m sure that anybody would enjoy this book just as much as I did.

Not to mention the hilarious moments in the book - but I don’t want to spoil the book for you already! Pick up a copy in our school library. It takes you into a whole new world - full of magical adventures and with loads of valuable life lessons!

Are your favourite animals fading away?

Noor 7K

Have you been keeping up to date about the cutest animals? Maybe not, but the news you are about to hear is shocking and depressing.

There are already 23 endangered mammals in Antarctica alone! The National Geographical says that, “two rare white giraffes were brutally slain by poachers in Kenya.” These unfortunate misdeeds are dreadfully common and we need to speak up for the animals otherwise no one else will.

So why is this happening? There are many reasons including their polluted habitats, mainly due to the selfish actions of humans which has led to the tiger, sea turtle, Amur leopard and so many more to reach the peak of endangerment. The worst part about this topic is that many people do not understand just how bad the situation is for many animals, and therefore many people are taking actions.

What are YOU going to do to help this cause? Don’t you believe in animal rights?

You can read much more about endangered animals from The Independent’s website.

Ice Loss In Antarctica

Nora 7K

The ice caps are melting at a rapid speed in Antarctica due to climate change and this is endangering the environment as well as lives of over thousands of animal species. There was also data from satellites that have attained information that Antarctica and Greenland have lost 6.4 trillion tonnes of ice from 1992 to 2017.

On the BBC News website, research has shown that ice sheets contribute to about a third of all sea-level rise with ice sheets in West Antarctica having thinned the most.

There is also satellite information from the The World website showing that scientists have discovered that the Thwaites Glacier (a strangely immense Antarctic glacier flowing into Pine Island Bay) has been promptly melting since July 2019. Moreover, the website states, “If the Thwaites Glacier melts, it would change global coastlines forever.”

The ice in Antarctica holds 90% of the world’s fresh water and 80% of that ice comes from the eastern part of the continent. As you can see, Antarctica has a huge impact on humanity and submitting more and more greenhouse gases into our environment will worsen the effect on Antarctica and our lives.

Ecosia : A Tree Planting Search Engine

Ashwariya 7Y

On 7th December 2009 a search engine called Ecosia was created by a man called Christain Kroll. The premise is that every few searches you make, a tree is planted: simple. In the past few years they have really gained traction. They’re planting trees in places like: Haiti, NIcaragua and Columbia. However, is this too good to be true?

This engine sounds perfectly simple but most have their suspicions as it sounds like there has got to be a catch. Well there is no catch! They post their monthly financial reports and tree planting receipts onto their website. However many still remain suspicious.

Some believe that they take your information, others believe they don’t actually plant the trees they said they would. Well none of this has been proven true. You can't really prove that they are using and selling your data but they have proved to be planting the trees as they have multiple videos of them planting trees.

How did Ecosia begin? In 2009, Christian Kroll created the search engine Xabble to generate funds for places like India and Nepal so they could get electricity however he abandoned that project. At first Ecosia's funds went to WWF and raised €250,000. However they then started donating to the billion trees project. In the next few years they did multiple campaigns to stop deforestation.

In some ways then, money does grow on trees. Plus when it’s for such a good cause, what do you have to lose?

Book Review: A Spoonful of Murder

Dhriti 7Y

A Spoonful of Murder is a detective novel by Robin Stevens and is part of the best selling series: A Murder Most Unladylike. It was published in 2016 but set in 1930s England, with the characters travelling to Hong Kong. The main characters are two girls called Daisy and Hazel who go to Hong Kong because Hazel’s beloved grandfather dies but soon after there are two murders and a kidnapping!

When Hazel Wong (vice president of the Detective Society) was in boarding school (Deepdean School of Girls), she receives a call from her father and he tells her that her grandfather died and that she must go to Hong Kong to mourn. Hazel also wants to bring her English friend Daisy Wells (president of the Detective Society) along too.

When they arrive, there is a new member of the wealthy Wong family: Hazel has a baby brother, Teddy. A boy in Hong Kong was a life-changer, they were more favoured and valuable. Hazel’s old, most favourite maid was Su Li but she was Teddy’s maid when he was born and no longer Hazel’s so she hated Teddy for it. When Su Li was murdered and Teddy was kidnapped, everyone suspected Hazel and it was up to the Detective Society once again to solve the case and this time, clear Hazel’s name.

Umaima (7Y) said, “It was really enjoyable! You just want to keep reading more even when you get to the end. I liked it a lot and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys detective stories. A five-star rating from me!”

Race To The Line

Raihan 7V

Schools from all over the world can take part in Race To The Line which makes it an exciting competition. The "Model Rocket Car STEAM Box" includes everything you need to design, build and race model rocket cars across the playground!

“The challenge has so far engaged over 100,000 year 7 students with this real world STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning experience. Last season an all-girl team won the global final in the UK with the first 100mph model rocket car in the challenge's history.”

Race To The Line is an event that takes place across many schools in Brent and aims to promote science and physics in a really fun way! This is the second year in a row that Alperton Community School will be taking part, linking subjects science and product design. For this event, year 7 students will work in groups to design and create a rocket car with a real rocket inside of it.

To make a model ‘rocket car’ students will first have to design a model car in their groups. Once the design is finalised, they will be taken to a product design room to start cutting and smoothing their car into the shape they want it. After this, they will be equipped with a micro-bit and a rocket which will make them ready to race!

See you at the finish line!

Be Brave. Speak Out.

Iqra 7T

What are the impacts of bullying? How can we work together to make sure that this doesn't affect our school community?

Bullying affects lots of different types of people. Bullying doesn’t just take place in schools but also online which can lead to young people feeling that there is no escape and even committing suicide. Bullying is defined as being repeated, unwanted and sometimes aggressive behaviour that is non-stop. Both the victim and the bully may have serious lasting problems as a result.

Bullying is linked to many negative outcomes including impacts on mental health. Those who are bullied can end up suffering from depression, anxiety and a lot of loneliness in their life.

However, bullies sometimes have lots of difficulties too which are mostly not realised. Sometimes they could also be being bullied themselves and then end up taking it out on someone else. So many people can be impacted with harmful and threatening actions from bullies.

You might be wondering why I am telling you this, have a think for yourself, see how you can help us to stop this happening.

Some of my own experiences:

It all started when I moved primary schools in year 5. It was a terrible and heart-breaking moment. It was dreadful having to leave all my classmates and friends but I thought that I could manage. Once I was at my new school I thought I was going to make friends easily. It was harder than I thought.

Throughout the horrible days I got bullied and taunted for my voice because I was known as the ‘squeaker’ because everyone thought that I had a high-pitched voice. Just because of that I felt I had no value in the school. I tried telling the teachers but I never had the courage to stand up for myself. I was a very lonely person with no friends. They were happy and busy in their own lives. Now here I am in secondary school and there are times when people still make fun of me, but luckily I now have a lot more friends and they all stand up for me.

Be Brave. Speak Out.

Something that I would say to you is that you should never give up on life no matter how many problems you face. There is always someone out there who cares about you and needs you in their life, even if you do not know it.

Remember that if you are ever worried, upset or concerned then do not hesitate to speak to the staff at school - from the pastoral team, form tutors, teaching assistants, safe-guarding lead team or any teacher you feel comfortable talking to. They are ready to help you in whatever way they can. Don’t suffer in silence.

Inspirational quotes:

“Kindness in words creates confidence.

Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.

Kindness in living creates love.”

By Lao Tzu

“Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad.

Let God deal with the things they do because hate in your heart will consume you too.”

Book Review: Arsenic for Tea

Dhriti 7Y

Arsenic for Tea is a detective novel by Robin Stevens and is part of a best selling series A Murder Most Unladylike. It is the second book in the series, released in January 2015 but is set in the 1930s in England. It is a detective novel about two young girls, Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong, who solve a murder in which a character gets poisoned by arsenic and it is up to the girls to find out who the murderer was.

Daisy and Hazel are going to Daisy’s home - Fallingford - and Lady Hastings (Daisy’s mother) is throwing a tea party to celebrate Daisy’s birthday and her entire family is invited along with her friends. Unfortunately, the party goes horribly wrong and Mr Curtis, invited by Lady Hastings and hated by everyone, falls ill and dies. With a murderer in the household Fallingford becomes extremely dangerous and it is up to The Detective Society (Daisy and Hazel) to solve this mysterious case once again.

Olivia from 7L stated, “I think it’s really funny and exciting. It is also a very interesting tale.” Caroline from 7T found it “very intriguing.” Whilst Umaima from 7Y said “I am really enjoying reading this, I can’t wait to finish. I want to read the whole series!”

International Women’s Day: books that celebrate women

Harshali 7X

International Women's Day is celebrated every year on March 8th all around the world. This is to promote that all women should be able to have the rights and equality the same as men. So far it has helped many women to become more equal but they day is still important as there is still so much inequality.

Tasia 7X said “I think that International Women’s Day is a good idea because it shows that a woman can do any job she wants. She can be a female and still be able to fix a car.” Stereotypes in the media and society often tell us what jobs are ‘for’ men or women which puts ideas into young people that they are restricted because of what society thinks.

Alperton Community School librarian Miss Parkin thinks “it is definitely important because it reminds people how much women have done so far and how important it is to be equal.”

Our school library has a wide range of books and a newsletter dedicated to promote International Women's Day. Some of the books are:

  • Watch Us Rise by Rennie Watson

  • The Unbound by Aisha Saeed

  • Incredible Sporting Champions by Georgia Amson Bradshaw

COVID-19 Changes Schooling

Dhriti 7Y

Due to the Coronavirus, schools all over the country have closed while the UK is in lockdown. It is possible that schools won’t be fully opening again for quite some time. There are some exceptions though; the children of key workers and vulnerable children will still be able to attend and students that have free meals may go to collect their lunches.

What about everyone else? Some schools, especially secondary schools and colleges, were already using digital technology to teach students and will be able to continue with this while they are at home doing the set tasks. But this relies on all students having access to devices.

The closure of Alperton Community School happened at the end of the day on Friday 20th March 2020. Schools were being closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19 since the virus is causing many in the UK illness and even death.

Since students at Alperton Community School can't physically go to school, they are required to use a device to access Google Classroom and their Gmail. Students have been using the Google Suite for a while so most students are familiar with it. Google Classroom is a platform in which you can connect with your class and teachers, view and submit your assignments. The teachers can also see every edit you do on a piece of work, give you feedback and answer questions if you need help. They can also find out if you have copied and pasted any information!

Although it seems really good that we are prepared and that not too much education will be delayed, there are actually a few negatives. Firstly, spending hours on end on devices and too much screen time can be bad for you. In addition, some students describe staying at home as being “trapped” and “feeling lonely.” During this period of time we can’t really talk to people in person and later on people may have problems socialising and may be too anxious to go out in public and interact with other human beings which is worrying since at Alperton Community School, we are a community.

Furthermore, it is hard to recreate a learning atmosphere at home similar to school so it can be tempting to snack on food lots or go on social media. Not managing the workload can cause sleep deprivation which can lead to health problems and a bad mood. Also, since the teacher isn’t teaching you in person, you have to be really resilient and self-teach some of the content and sometimes the information can be hard to understand. Although teachers can support us using Google Classroom, it’s just not the same.

Some students still can’t get over the fact that only one week has passed and that they have much more time to go and others think that there is too much pressure being put on them. Another student said, “Learning at school is more active and fun. Online work is kind of restrictive, especially how our teachers can see everything we type!” Another student even said being quarantined can make you lose your mind! I am personally finding it hard to concentrate on my learning and can get distracted very easily.

One of our teachers advised, “It's really important to also make the time to do the little things that make you smile.” It’s about finding a good balance between school work and free time and adjusting to this new way of learning. Following your school timetable the best you can will help to manage the workload better.

We must all take care of our mental health and make sure we do not get too carried away with work if it is interfering with our wellbeing. Remember to keep connected with friends and family and to also do things that make you happy and stay healthy.

With this virus, it is important that we know the right facts and not spread any rumours. For reliable information on the coronavirus, visit Coronavirus (COVID-19) - NHS. Remember not to leave your house unless you have to and use the social distancing advice.

Coronavirus may cause the remaining leagues to shut down

Devam 8L

Over the last few weeks the amount of people tested positive for COVID-19 has been massively increasing. Football has also been affected across many leagues. The following leagues have currently been suspended: La Liga, MlS and Serie A.

Serie A was suspended due to the lockdown imposed in Italy who are the worst affected country in Europe. After the departure of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League many other games in the round of 16 have also been postponed, including Manchester City vs Real Madrid, due to Real Madrid being quarantined.

Over the last few days many famous footballers have tested positive. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Juventus players Daniele Rugani and Paulo Dybala and Chelsea star winger Callum Hudson-Odoi have all been tested positive.

So far Liverpool have had an exceptional season in the Premier League. They now only require 2 wins to secure the prestigious Premier League trophy. Will they manage to do this or will the virus stop them in their tracks?

It was announced later in the day of this report being written (13th March) that the Premier League is to be suspended.

January signings flourish

Neel 8L

Manchester United’s signings have impacted the team MASSIVELY. Now the squad seems to have the liveliness they had under Sir Alex Ferguson. The arrival of Bruno Fernandes has immensely changed the mindset of the squad. There was an aura of panic in the Manchester United dressing room about whether Anthony Martial will be able to cope with the duty of center forward that Marcus Rashford had set high standards for.

Heavily anticipated attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes put pen to paper on the 30th of January 2020 and since then has scored 3 and assisted 3 in only 9 appearances to add to his phenomenal tally at Sporting Lisbon. To make up for the absence of Marcus Rashford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer loaned in Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua. Though he was isolated for 2 weeks, he is in good form and has worked phenomenally to score 4 goals in 8 matches, including a brace against Derby county in the FA Cup.

Man United have had a 65% increase in the number of goals scored after the arrival of Ighalo and Fernandes.

Devam 8L says: “Before, Man United didn't have much confidence in attack that they used to have under Alex Ferguson. After the recent arrival of Ighalo and Fernandes, Manchester United have created much more chances and have boosted their confidence in attack.”

Manchester United's future (for at least the next 4 months) is in safe hands and hopefully, they will maintain this amazing form for years to come.

Cultured Cook Off

By Tasia 7X

Brent is the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture for 2020. Alperton Community School is within Brent and to celebrate and honour the diversity of the school and borough they have started to create a cookbook with support from the Food Technology department.

There was an extended learning day where year 7 students created posters explaining what their favourite dishes were and what it meant to them. Russell (7Y) was one of the many who participated and was the winning entry from his form.

Russell makes Kiribath

“I was amazed because I wasn't expecting to win since my classmates did other foods that I haven't heard of. I also learned the history of Milk Rice - known as Kiribath in Sinhalese.” Kiribath is a traditional Sri Lankan dish made from rice and coconut milk. Kiri means milk and bath means rice.

Russell enjoyed his time in the cook off and it was really beneficial to him and many other year 7 students as it gave them the opportunity to explore and discover food and culture from their ancestry.

The pastoral managers of year 7, Ms. Ranasinghe and Ms. Barnett were really pleased with their year group’s participation. “Year 7s showed great team-work and creativity during the ELD. We were extremely proud of how well they behaved and the effort they put in during their presentations. In addition, both myself and Ms. Barnett were really impressed with their amazing cooking skills during the cook off which led to a range of delicious dishes being served."

The cook off was a great way for the students to discover their ancestry and discover what generations before have tasted.

More information in regards to the cookbook to follow.

Billie Eilish’s Big Win

Anisha 7K

Billie Eilish’s single ‘Bad Guy,’ was recently named the biggest global track of 2019 during the Global Awards 2020, on Thursday 5th March. The song was released in March 2019 but took the world by storm and continued to be one of the best selling songs of 2019 according to the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). ‘Bad Guy’ beat Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ and ‘I Don't Care’ by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.

At only 18 years of age, Eilish has already won 10 awards, topped the charts in over 15 countries and is the first woman to get number one in the UK with a James Bond song - ‘No Time To Die’ - the new theme song for the 007 film and another big hit for Billie Eilish.

Now you’re probably thinking what makes Billie Eilish’s songs so interesting and popular? Well it’s her strikingly different voice and style. According to Frances Moore, IFPI Chief Executive, “Billie Eilish has taken the world by storm with her incredible voice and genre-defying sound”.

Eilish also advocates for important issues like mental health within her lyrics that clearly resonate with her fans. The way she dresses not only differentiates her from other female singers but also has a deeper meaning. “If I was a guy and I was wearing these baggy clothes, nobody would bat an eye,” said Billie Eilish speaking about what she wears. Eilish has always wanted to be diverse and while doing so also inspired other women to follow in her footsteps. She believes that wearing baggy clothes means that people have no reason to judge her body as no one knows what's underneath. This movement helped fans and the public with mental health and self esteem issues.

Will Billie Eilish become one of the best female artists in the music industry? I think so.
